Carefully remove skin discolourations!
The natural aging, an increased sun exposure, hormonal and medicinal influences (pregnancy, contraceptive pill, anticonvulsants) or inflammatory alterations (insect stings, acne, burns) can lead to a disturbance in the formation of pigments and to an increased deposit of melanin (pigmentation agent) in the skin. Thus are created so-called pigmentation marks (age spots, sun spots, melasmas, chloasmas…)
Most often such spots appear on exposed body parts that are subjected to direct solar radiation (underarms, hands, face, cleavage/décolleté)
The rounded, sharply delimited form and the brownish, even coloration enables the doctor to differentiate such harmless skin spots from malignant alterations of skin.
Our modern medical lasers can be pinpointed to remove those pigmentation irregularities.
- In a preliminary medical examination, we will assess whether we are dealing with harmless age-related or other skin alterations requiring treatment. Only then do we use our medical laser which can obtain very good results after a few treatments.
- The laser therapy is low-pain and low-risk. The pigmentation marks are gently removed. The skin renews itself.
- The treatment is well tolerated and free of discomfort. In the aftermath, a light scab forms that falls off after a few days. The healing process is complete after one to two weeks. Laser treatments carried out with competence generally leave no scars.
- Pigmentation-regulating crèmes and antioxidant serums with high drug concentration (cosmeceuticals) can complement the laser therapy.
- A consistent, prophylactic light protection significantly contributes as well to the success of the treatment as to the preservation of the therapeutic result.
